This 1969 Porsche is an original, California Black Plate survivor with the desirable 5 speed transmission.
The car was purchased new in Texas and within a few months the second owner drove it to Tulare, CA where it was
driven occasionally, properly maintained and garaged until 2001 when I became the third owner. Since then, the car
has been driven occasionally, properly maintained and garaged in Fresno CA. Dry climates, no rain/snow driving.
Not sure about Texas, but California owners are non smokers.
The Bahama Yellow paint is mostly original - the front hood and a portion of left front fender were repainted by
the original owner. Any flaws are fairly minor, some road rash at front. Interior is original. Seat cushions
have been rebuilt ( they all sag over time). Original carpets have always been protected by full floor mats, thus
carpeting appears as new. There are two 1" cracks on top of dash board. The Blaupunkt AM FM SW radio works and is
original to the car. Papers accompany the radio.
Odometer shows 108,443 miles. Odometer has worked sporadically in recent years - estimated total would be about
115,000. Engine was properly overhauled at about 85,000 miles. Drives and shifts flawlessly.
Needs -- Tires look good but are old. Tires, shocks, window gaskets and felts would be a good idea. No other
needs.
The doors at closing have the Porsche "ping" sound. Club badges on rear hood are not included.
The original tool kit is present. Leatherette case is soft, pliable and clean. Tools appear unused. Owner's
manual with vinyl cover and jack are also in place.
A car can be restored many times -- it can be original only once. This is an original car.
