Assistive Technology is any device or software used to enhance the abilities of a person with disabilities. At TCSAccess, we focus on the intersection of Assistive Technology and Information Technology. Most frequently, the Assistive Technology at this intersection is Assistive Technology to support individuals who are blind or visually impaired but that is not to say Assistive Technology cannot be used to support individuals with other disabilities.
At TCSAccess, our collaborative Assistive Technology implementation process begins with an Assistive Technology needs assessment to identify the best Assistive Technology to meet individual and organizational needs. Once the appropriate Assistive Technology is identified, we assist in the procurement of the Assistive Technology, then in partnership with the organization's IT professionals, we will assist with the Assistive Technology installation and implementation.
