IT Support - Entry-Level - Bloomington, MN

POSITION SUMMARY: IT Support provides support to all company users as it relates to computer hardware and software

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the functions listed below)

1. Installs, maintains, and upgrades computer hardware and software
2. Provides support to company employees concerning computer issues.
3. Provides support on desktop PCs, Laptop computers, Tablets, Cellular Telephones, Printers, Networks, Routers, Hubs, Switches, UPS, Phone Systems, e
4. Keeps apprised of new technology.
5. Provides backup duties to the IT departmenent
6. Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures
7. Other duties as assigned by management

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

• Non-supervisory position.
• Reports to the System Administrator Supervisor
• Requires ability to make sound decisions that are within the guidelines and principles of General Parts and compatible with prior instructions and experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience working with Windows Operating Systems and a networked environment.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem solving skills
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Excellent organizational skills, must be motivated, a self-started, and able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Normal office environment
• Occasional light lifting of office equipment, supplies, and boxes
• Frequent sitting with occasional walking and standing
• Requires dexterity on use of fingers for the operation of computers and other office equipment.

This position is located onsite at our Bloomington, MN office.  

This is an Entry-Level hourly position starting at $20 per hour.
