Product Buyer

Position Description: The Product Buyer selects premium merchandise, gift card, promotional and recognition products to be offered to program participants via the Outstanding Performances Catalog and/or custom client programs. Position Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Purchasing or equivalent degree. Two to four years experience in a retail purchasing environment in general product categories. Experience in product detail analysis regarding performance, quality and pricing. Ability to negotiate and work with a multitude of suppliers and manufacturers. Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook and Excel. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment. Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
