We are in search of a Local Media Sales Representative to assist with the expansion of our clients’ advertising campaigns through-out Central Florida

Orlando Sentinel has an excellent opportunity for a Local Media Sales Representative who can connect with clients and help them achieve their business objectives through advertising. We are a team of highly motivated, work hard/play hard individuals who believe in the mission of building strategic partnerships with our clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, have an enthusiastic and passionate personality, and have a tenacious yet empathetic attitude with a drive to succeed!

Client Relations

Grow revenue and market share through new product development by providing creative and innovative solutions to selling challenges.
Foster long-tern partnerships between Orlando Sentinel and local advertisers to assure revenue and market share growth is maximized.
Maintain and build positive customer relationships.
Must be able to conduct a thorough analysis of a client’s needs in order to develop a strategic, customized plan for their business and goals.
Coordinate and execute sales and/or strategic marketing projects including package sales involving multiple Orlando Sentinel products and subsidiary products, cross-media packages, joint projects with consumer marketing, contests, event marketing sponsorships, vendor promotions and sales presentations.
Actively make outbound calls on the phone and in person, set appointments and develop sales proposals of Orlando Sentinel’s products and marketing services.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in marketing, advertising or communications or equivalent related experience and/or 2-5 years related experience
Understand demographic as it relates to our advertisers
Previous outside sales experience a must
Strong organizational, written and presentation skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & standard Social Media
Self-motivated
Enjoys a fast paced environment with a desire to win
Must have own vehicle, a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Strong organizational, written and presentation skills
Competitive, energetic and self-starter
Create targeted short- and long-term client campaign plans based on understanding our clients’ advertising needs and market demographics
