We currently have a need for a Financial Analyst at our Customer Solutions Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Job Title: Financial Analyst
Job Summary: This role will be responsible for managing the monthly close process for revenue, gross profit and SG&A for the assigned business unit. The Financial Analyst will also prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for the accounts and cost centers, as well as supply Account Management and Operations with reports and analysis on both a regular and ad hoc basis. Additionally, this role will provide trend analysis on both operational and financial KPI’s and recommended corrective actions for contractual variances, along with financial and operational data for Quarterly Business Reviews.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Operations department with the following:

Trend analysis on operational KPI’s
Confirmation that billing and payments rates match contracted data
Margin tracking on specified lines of business

Manage formal budget and forecast process
Participate in month end close process, including calculating accruals and preparing journal entries
Ensure accuracy of financial statements through income statement and balance sheet analysis
Preparation of monthly financial reviews which include:

Present revenue, gross profit, & operating income variances to budget, forecast and provide detailed analysis
Present SG&A variances including cost center variances and expense variances (aggregate T&E, Salary, etc.)

Data mining to identify financial and operational discrepancies and provide strategic solutions to rectify issues
Monitor and review planning costs against budget/targets
Assist in identifying and implementing projects that drive efficiencies in the business

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
Three plus years experience in an Accounting or Financial Analyst position
CPA or MBA preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
Experience with Oracle, JD Edwards, EnterpriseOne and Crystal Reports
An understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting
Accounting, journal entries, and month end close experience required
Ability to multi-task and work in a matrix-organization
Proven ability to develop cross-departmental relationships
