Job Description

PeopleReady is now hiringFurniture Manufacturing Associates in theNewton, NC area. Immediate opportunity!

A Furniture Manufacturing Associate is responsible for assembling and checking furniture parts, ensuring that all machinery runs smoothly, and assisting in the shipment of completed items. Production Associates perform a variety tasks to strive for their main goal of ensuring that manufactured furniture meet certain standards of quality.

Note - Pay Rate for this Job is $14/Hour

Shift Timing - 1st Shift (Day)

Responsibilities Include:

Associates will be responsible for assisting in cutting, assembling, wrapping, and/or upholstering a variety of pieces of furniture.
Feed raw materials into production machinery
Assemble goods on production lines
Carry out basic quality and testing checks
Store goods and raw materials properly in a warehouse
Pack goods to be shipped

Qualifications:

Customer Specific Orientation
Drug Screen Required (THC excluded)
Associates must be able to work 6am to 4pm , Monday through Friday, and occasionally 4 hours on Saturday.
Associates must be able to stand off and on for the entirety of the shift
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not necessary
Able to be in a stationary position for up to 10 hours
Able to multitask, show flexibility, and have great attention to detail
Drug screen required
