Under the direction of the Senior Director, Information Technology, the Windows Systems Administrator is responsible for the planning, design, architecture and deployment (after formal testing) of upgrading existing networked fileserver, and database server environments updated with the approved versions of Windows and SQL Server, globally.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, design, test and build Windows Operating System servers to an approved version of the Operating System.
Plan, coordinate, design, test and build SQL Server systems to an approved version of the SQL Server.
Migration of existing systems to the new infrastructure.
Troubleshooting solutions to address and resolve issues occurring as a result of the migration or other events.
As appropriate and/or when assigned to do so, perform maintenance and support tasks on infrastructure components including server, storage and network devices as well as associated platform and other software.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 (ten) years’ experience working in a, n enterprise multi-domain Windows network.
Strong VMware Administration and troubleshooting skills.
Strong Windows Active Directory knowledge.
Strong Project & time Management skills
Experience managing and administeringWindows & SQL Server servers.
Qualifications
Must possess the highest level of work ethics and integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information.
Must possess the ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision.
Must possess the ability to organize workload effectively, function as an effective team player and adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
Must possess strong verbal, written and graphical communication skills.
Ability to travel via airplane.
Preferred knowledge/skills
Knowledge and skill in data security practices as it relates to Windows server environments.
Knowledge of Veeam data backup solution.
Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking protocols.
Experience with Nimble Storage Solutions.
Experience with Dell Storage Solutions
Experience with System Center Configuration Manager and Operations Manager.
