Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Network and Systems Engineer, will serve as the senior network and systems engineer and will lead the technical activities of the information technology team while retaining extensive technical support for our global, distributed network and server infrastructure, including the planning, design, architecture, testing and deployment of network, file server, database server and virtual server environments.
Key Responsibilities

Design, plan, test, implement and troubleshoot key network infrastructure components globally including routers, firewalls, ids/ips, switches, LAN/WAN and SAN storage.
Design, plan, test, implement and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers globally, including Microsoft, Citrix and VMware.
Design, plan, test, implement and troubleshoot disaster recovery, backup, archiving and fail-over scenarios including all systems including Microsoft Exchange for a global network, including colocation facilities.
Collaborate with application development team and provide advice and support related to database, workstation and server environments.
Support and ensure integrity for corporate websites and intranets.
Work with other members of the IT team to execute projects.
Oversee and assist with the maintenance and support tasks on infrastructure components including server, storage and network devices as well as associated platform and other software.
Analyze data generated by hardware and other systems components to identify issues and opportunities for optimization as well as to monitor for overall health and stability.
Liaise with currently contracted and potential vendors to ensure that MPAA's requirements and priorities are represented accurately, that all applicable confidentiality and other policy considerations are maintained and that MPAA receives appropriate levels of service and support.

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree B.A./B.S. required and a minimum of 10 (ten) years' experience working in an enterprise multi-domain Windows network.
Strong Citrix System Administration and troubleshooting knowledge.
Strong VMware Administration and troubleshooting skills.
Strong Windows Active Directory design, management and scripting knowledge.
Strong Cisco router, firewall, ips/ids and switch experience (CCNA minimum and CCNP preferred).
Strong Microsoft server platform and application server skills, including SharePoint and SQL (MCSE preferred).
Minimum 5 to 10 years in a management role with oversight of 5-10 team members.
Demonstrated ability to manage the system administration, network and infrastructure support in a mid-sized organization including network and telecommunications and all aspects of application infrastructure support functions operating on a 7/24/365 basis.
Solid background (preferably with associated certifications) and recent "hands on" experience in VMware and Citrix as well as direct experience working with EMC and SAN infrastructures (including both physical and virtualized environments.  EMC certification a plus.
Proven experience with network and telecom environments including VOIP and high bandwidth WAN infrastructures.
Experience with mobile device management is a plus.
Drupal experience is a plus.
Broad technical expertise with application, system integration, data and/or infrastructure knowledge.
Knowledge and experience in managing vendors and consultants.
Proven problem solving, analytical and leadership skills with the ability to anticipate and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision.
Must possess the highest level of work ethic and integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information.
Willingness to travel (domestic and international).
Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Ability to function as an effective team leader and member
Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves
Excellent analytical,  interpersonal and facilitative skills
