Position Summary LEE seeks a Director, Regional Organizing and Advocacy to support member-led efforts to close the achievement gap through collective action in advocacy, organizing, and electoral campaigns. This position supports LEE members’ vision for impact by developing our internal staff capacity on advocacy and organizing skills and by working directly with our members so that their leadership is effectively impacting policy, advocacy, and organizing at the local level. The Director will work with the Advocacy and Organizing team to provide support across LEE  regions with a particular emphasis on support to the western regions. This position reports to the Senior Director of National Advocacy and Organizing.  Position Location (Flexible): Los Angeles Denver Phoenix  San Francisco Bay Area (LEE will pay relocation expenses.) Requirement, Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Competencies

At least five years’ experience working in an advocacy or organizing roles rooted in a relationship-based organizing model;
Experience organizing citizen engagement in a local legislative, ballot initiative, or electoral campaign;
Experience coaching and mentoring inexperienced organizers and playing a role in their long-term development;
Superior attention to detail and demonstrated success in managing and operating data systems;
Ability to conduct high-quality trainings in organizing and advocacy skills;
Ability to quickly conduct political landscape and needs analysis of multiple regions, identify key issues, and drive action in multiple regions;
Proven ability to build and leverage relationships with diverse audiences and partners;
Experience cultivating internal and external constituencies;
Demonstrated ability to identify and appropriately respond to motivations and barriers of target audiences to achieve specific outcomes and/or advance thinking;
Excellent communication, including public speaking, and interpersonal skills;
Bachelor’s degree required;
60 percent travel required; ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
