Crisis Intervention Coordinator

Job Duties

Work with other Crisis Intervention staff members to provide direct services to clients, including crisis counseling (on telephone or in person), accompaniment and advocacy for sexual assault survivors and their significant others. This includes carrying a cell phone.
Coordinate all aspects of SBRCC’s 24-hour crisis intervention hotline.
Maintain crisis intervention program client files, ensure service compliance, and review client statistical data for reports needed by funding sources.
Meet regularly with other staff to conduct client case management and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of services provided.
Participate in monthly Sexual Assault Response Team Case Review meetings.
Provide in-service trainings to law enforcement and other professionals who interface with sexual assault survivors and their significant others.
Ensure coverage and systematic provision of crisis intervention services
Supervise and communicate will all volunteer Advocates on a regular basis.
Provide volunteers with evaluation and letters of recommendation as needed.
Facilitate monthly Advocate meetings in both Spanish and English.
Maintain volunteer files as required by funding sources.

Qualifications

Bilingual (English/Spanish) REQUIRED.
Completion of the Crisis Intervention Training (SBRCC provides) to obtain certification as a Sexual Assault Counselor.
Experience in providing crisis intervention counseling and advocacy services.
Excellent public speaking and oral/written communication skills.
Experience with volunteer recruitment, retention, management and evaluation.
Ability to work independently with excellent organizational & time management skills.
Experience in working with diverse populations.
Ability to work with community professionals who interface with survivors of sexual assault and their significant others.
