Description
Curb, the DC-based technology startup revolutionizing local ground transportation, is seeking an outgoing Local Marketing Manager to spread the word about Curb throughout Chicago. You will be responsible for growing the local Curb user-base through effective promotions, passionate community engagement, and creative customer outreach. You must be high-energy, self-motivated and have a proven track record of accountability and working independently. Strong connections within your local market are a must. Experience making data-driven decisions is a plus.
Responsibilities
Community building – People need to get places! You will establish local programs to promote Curb. You will develop and attend lots of local events, interact with our user base and create new Curb riders. You’ll engage with local organizations and businesses. You’ll work closely with our partners and you’ll connect with local media and bloggers to tell the Curb story.
Marketing campaigns and analytics – You will devise and execute marketing campaigns to drive awareness, acquisition and loyalty. You will leverage software and reporting tools to measure and improve your impact.
User outreach – You will follow up with users to learn from their experiences, solve their problems, and communicate insights to our marketing and product teams so that we can accomplish our shared mission. Nothing is more important to our company than user experiences, and you will be on the front lines!
Requirements

At least 2 years of full-time experience in marketing, sales or a similar field
Bachelor’s degree
Ability to work independently with a proven track record of making an impact
Ability to manage multiple projects and other people
Experience with cold calling and networking
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High comfort level with new technology
Proficiency with Excel
Experience with graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator a plus
