OVERVIEW:




 






This position is the Business Partner to the Plant Manager and provides financial analysis of plant operations so appropriate financial decisions can be made, especially on cost reduction.








 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES






 










Lead Monthly Inventory Forecast Process


Lead Annual Physical Inventory Process


Standard Cost Variance Analysis


Scrap Analysis


Cycle Count Process


CapEx Project Reviews


Inventory working capital management and reporting


Supporting, tracking. Monitoring and controlling Value Creation Plan (VCP) initiatives at the plant


Perform monthly close select plant balance sheet accounts like inventory, inventory reserves, plant accruals, etc.


Analysis and Reporting of results to management


Provide controllable spend and provide variance analysis


Coordination and support of budgeting/forecasting of plant spend


Miscellaneous special projects as directed by Finance Management


Provide finance leadership presence and support at the plants

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:


Should have 5+ years of experience in all aspects of accounting including accounting supervisory experience


Experience in a manufacturing accounting environment preferred


Experience in multi-plant, multi-location environment desirable


Exceptional verbal and written communication skills


High level problem solving and analytical skills required


Exceptional personal initiative and desire to drive consistent improvement


Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and not only be able to follow the rules but set the rules


Ability to work within a team environment and highly functional not just as a leader but also as a team member


Ability to navigate through multiple accounting systems


Must be able to balance workloads and multi-task while remaining cognizant of multiple reporting deadlines


Must have strong work ethics during high volume periods, including month year end close, and the budgeting season


 
Education/Training/Experience



Bachelor’s degree in Accounting


Standard Cost Accounting Experience
