Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Transportation Supervisor to join our growing Operations team!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Oversee Transportation/Dispatch Representatives
Schedule freight pick-ups at vendor facilities and coordinate delivery to our Distribution Centers
Assist in management of all inbound Sleepy's carriers and other compliance matters
Assist in the preparation of bid requests to carriers for various traffic lanes
Maintain various control & cost logs
Prepare various delivery service reports dealing with specific key performance indicators, such as on-time delivery, carrier expenses and made deliveries
Negotiate home damage charges with customers and drivers
Assist in the preparation of weekly driver payroll as needed
Monitor driver routes through GPS tracking and Agentek reporting
Oversee the completion of customer confirmation calls and VIP customer deliveries
Investigate and develop data on all customer delivery failures
Work closely with all transportation departments to improve delivery service
Work alongside our Director of Transportation performing special projects
Additional responsibilities as assigned by Management

Job Requirements:

3 plus years of prior supervisory experience required
Strong administrative and organizational skills a must
Ability to excel is a fast-paced environment
Exceptional customer service and communication skills required
Some transportation and/or dispatch experience preferred
Retail experience a plus; Odenton, Maryland, United States; User's other ads
