Job description:
Company is looking for a motivated and success-driven individual to work in the corporate engineering department supporting the operations and production teams. General responsibilities will include analyzing, supporting, and coordinating engineering projects from concept through Ag Construction and operations.

The Project Manager's responsibilities will involve developing conceptual project design to determine the scope, utility requirements, modifications to the existing facilities, and conceptual construction cost estimates to determine the internal rate of return and overall project feasibility. To support these responsibilities, the candidate must be able to complete calculations and analyses to determine the required modifications in response to operational problems and/or to support projects. The role will entail developing design/build bid packages with adequate supporting documentation to ensure complete and comparable bids can be received on the project.

The Project Manager will have responsibility for developing drawings, including general arrangements, flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and site plans to support the project work. This may include completing field investigations of existing facilities and documenting as-built conditions to assist in project development. Other responsibilities will include on-site project construction monitoring and coordination with ongoing plant operation. This position will require 15%-20% travel on average.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must for this position. The Project Manager must be able to communicate effectively with internal engineering, operations, purchasing and marketing personnel, as well as, with external engineering groups, contractors, and vendors.

Looking for a self-starter with knowledge of construction and engineering practices and procedures. The successful candidate will have skill in reading and interpreting technical instructions as applicable to job, knowledge of AutoCAD and documentation standards and skill in analytical thinking, negotiating, and problem solving. The abilities to work independently, as well as with teams, are essential as is the capacity to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple work assignments. A strong aptitude to make sound decisions and pay close attention to detail is vital as well as excellent skill organizing work schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required and candidates should have 5 to 8 years of project engineering and management experience. This experience is preferably in an agricultural related industry, however, general industrial processing experience will also be considered.
