Forest City Enterprises Inc. is a NYSE-listed national real estate company is searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to work for boutique luxury apartment community in the Presidio - San Francisco. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of maintenance duties. Our community will require an enthusiastic team player who recognizes that customer service is one of the most important aspects of the position. Maintenance Technician will work under the direction of the Maintenance Operations Manager.

We are looking for a self-motivated, team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be neat, meticulous and pay attention to regulations and details when completing tasks. A person in this position may be required to work flexible schedule including over-time, nights, weekends, and on-call. Associates are expected to come to work punctually every scheduled work day, presenting a professional and positive Company image in keeping with the objectives of the Company and the residents and/or tenants' welfare.

The following are just some of the tasks to be performed by the Maintenance Technician:
- Under the direction of the Director of Facilities repairs and maintains machinery such as motors, pumps, belts, and fans.
- Repairs and maintain mechanical equipment, including heating and air conditioning. Diagnoses problems. Disassembles units, cleans, lubricates, repairs, and replaces parts.
- Performs routine carpentry duties, including installation of new doors and installation or repairs of doorjambs, moldings, hinges, door closers, locks, knobs, shelving and counter installation
- Performs routine painting duties, including drywall or plaster repair, painting, etc.
- Performs routine plumbing duties, inspecting, installing, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, unclogging sinks and toilets, repair of faucet, assemblies and replacement of washers, etc.
- Performs routine electrical duties, including inspecting and testing lighting, wiring and power circuits, replaces faulty switches, replaces faulty lamps and ballasts.
- Performs preventive maintenance duties as assigned.
- Performs janitorial duties as assigned

An ideal candidate will possess High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
