Facilities Design Engineer / Construction Project Engineer

Webuild (www.webuildstaffing.com) is seeking a Facilities Project Engineer / Construction Engineer to oversee the development of a large corporate campus, telecommunications and technology support facilities worldwide.

The ideal individual would have 7+ years of experience in the design engineering and construction of industrial campuses and support facilities to include offices, labs, manufacturing, warehouses and technology support structures (antennas, repeater stations, etc.) around the world.

Must have the abilities to oversee the design and construction of all structural components and multidisciplinary facility systems (mechanical, electrical distribution, HVAC, security, IT and misc. critical systems). Assuring the development of all design documentation, business object documents (BOD) to maintain compliance with specifications and as-builts. Candidate will additionally be called upon to track all construction progress; developing timelines, managing vendors, scopes of work, budgets, progress reports, and leading team members to achieve project success / operational readiness.

This would be a high profile facilities role consulting daily with senior leadership and functional group heads as to facility and infrastructure needs worldwide in preplanning and assessment activities for a $1+ billion organization. Must be able to manage multiple outside consultants.

Requires a Degree in Facilities Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Construction Management or related discipline. Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with AutoCAD Required. Travel is required 50% of time. Employer is willing to provide relocation assistance if necessary.

Position is Based In San Diego, CA.
