Office Manager Interior Design ($15 - 20 per hour)

At Farrah Lee Furniture, delivering appealing interior design solutions is the key to our success. We need an office manager with excellent organizational skills and an artistic eye to help keep us thriving. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to handle anything that might come their way. Youll be a strong and reliable support to company operations, oversee the design and decorative process for both working and living areas from start to finish. Main duties include sketching various design plans, determining costs for different projects and sourcing materials and products for the designs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The office manager may work for a variety of clients, from homeowners to corporations, so everyday duties vary depending on the current client and/or firm being served. Basic responsibilities primarily involve:

  • Visiting job sites to analyze space availability, design needs and the purpose of the space
  • Attending client meetings to understand the design needs and client preferences regarding interior styles and colors
  • Creating initial design sketches, color themes and ideas based on client requirements and space availability
  • Getting approval from the client before creating designs and detailed briefs for workers and supervisors
  • Hiring contractors to implement design ideas
  • Overseeing the buying process of all raw materials and items required to complete the project
  • Ensuring project completion within the allocated budget and timeline

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Maintain office efficiency by maintaining appearance of common areas, organizing procedures, handling correspondence, managing filing systems, and overseeing supplies and equipment
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the office as the main point of contact in the reception area, keeping management informed of performance with routine and requested reporting
  • Provide direct administrative supports as needed, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events, booking travel, maintaining filing system, mailing and shipping packages, and updating contact database and employee list
  • Oversee and maintain office equipment for uninterrupted function, identify and fulfill office supply needs, maintain and manage contractors, and coordinate product delivery as needed
  • Manage all aspects of the offices space/infrastructure planning (moves, adds, and changes to workstations) and provide answers, resources, and solutions as requested

  • Ability to read floor plans
  • Knowledge of the quality, rates and locations of raw materials
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and resolve any issues regarding operation and delay
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Advanced attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous success in office management or similar management position
  • Engaging personality and optimistic outlook
  • Experience developing and maintaining internal systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information
