The San Francisco office of this Los Angeles-based firm, one of the oldest and most distinguished law firms in California, has expanded rapidly in recent years and specializes in litigation, real estate and land use, and corporate law. The litigation department, in particular, is extremely solid; in fact, many of the most distinguished litigators in California call this firm home. The firms clientele is both diverse and extremely stable; attorneys at the firm tackle an interesting variety of cases. The firms management is exceedingly good and has managed to remain small despite the proliferation of large management committees at other large firms. Associates seem to fraternize together quite well. The firm pays a guaranteed $15,000 bonus at 1950 hours. Not surprisingly, this firm attracts exceptional attorneys from a variety of backgrounds and has remained fairly selective in its hiring.
