The Application Support Engineer is a key member of the technology team that focuses on supporting key systems including Relativity, LAW and EDA. The Application Support Team works with the IT and Operations Teams to ensure that the applications are configured to run optimally as well as implement additional resources to accommodate growth.
Essential Job Functions
Ensure uptime, scalability and performance of the databases that support Relativity
Serve as an escalation for the support of an environment with large volumes of data across multiple data centers
Identify and analyze trends and create reports for the management team
Identify areas for improvement in performance across various systems including Relativity, LAW and EDA
Proactively monitor systems to ensure SLA compliance for uptime and performance
Enhance Electronic Discovery software applications using SQL scripts and APIs
Development of workflows within Relativity to suit client needs
Create and maintain SQL scripts to perform various data manipulation operations for Project Management teams
Perform troubleshooting and QA for internal software development
Participate in technical discussions as a subject matter expert with internal and external teams to collaborate on customization options
Perform system maintenance and upgrades
Escalate application issues to respective software providers and work with their support teams for resolution
Requirements
2+ years MS SQL Server experience with excellent knowledge of T-SQL scripting
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues between SQL Server and the corresponding front-end applications
Proficiency in Relativity and other kCura offerings
Experience with LAW, EDA and other Lexis Nexis products
Fluency in one or more scripting/programming languages (C# preferred)
Ability to work both independently and as a team member with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with users of varying skill levels
Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights and weekends
MS SQL Server certifications a plus
Relativity RCA a plus
