This senior manager provides strategic and tactical direction for Huntsville site with direct responsibility for Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities and is indirectly responsible for the Indaiatuba, Brazil site manufacturing quality function. Also responsible for quality systems design, implementation and performance in accordance with BASF, TS16949, and customer requirements. Participates in major business decisions impacting quality, cost, and delivery performance of all Huntsville business processes. Works in conjunction with corporate procurement and other Environmental Technology (CCE) sites, CCE strategic supplier selection, evaluation and development, including administration of the Vendor Management Database (VMDB), development supplier performance appraisal systems, and scheduling and leading strategic supplier assessments.
Major Responsibilities:
·Promote Zero Incident Mindset and lead the team in an effort to create an injury-free workplace.
·Lead the team in establishing clear, aggressive goals and objectives that drive process performance.
·Establish and support key process metrics.
·Lead continuous improvement, corrective action, and problem solving activities.
·Serve as a Huntsville representative on the CCE Quality Council
·CCE Supplier selection, evaluation, and development.
·Build individual skills and team flexibility through training and personal development.
·Enroll, enable, and empower all team members in the process organization to maximize personal commitment and contribution toward the success of the team.
·Evaluate team effectiveness and use organization development training to support continued team growth.
·Align with the Site Leadership in achieving business and site objectives and evolving the organization into the CCE vision.
·Responsible for executing CCE Business Plan Quality Objectives
·Assure that material rejections and temporary deviations are investigated to determine root cause.
·Core representative on Global Quality Team
·Technical Leadership for CCE Quality System
·Leads and manages subordinate personnel including: Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, and Quality Control departments.
·Bachelor's Degree in a Technical discipline with 5 years direct Quality Management experience and 5 years experience in a leadership role, preferably in the automotive industry. Advanced Degree preferred.
·ASQ, CQE, and/or CQM certification preferred. Practical experience withTS16949 and ISO/QS-9000 system required.
·Highly motivated and results oriented
·Demonstrated ability to exercise influence management in order to partner with management team and at all levels of the organization.
·Effective written and verbal communication skills.
·Formal process improvement methodology expertise (DOE, Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, etc.)
·Must have financial and accounting understanding (P&L)
·Be a customer advocate.
·Demonstrated PC skills and proficiency in MS Office applications, Lotus Notes, and Statistical Software (e.g. Statistica, Statgraphics, MINITAB.); Huntsville, Alabama, United States; User's other ads
