We are currently seeking a Regional Human Resources Manager to join our team at our North American Headquarters in Perrsyburg, OH.

This position will have human resources generalist responsibility and accountability for multiple manufacturing facilities in the North American region. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources & Labor Relations, while closely interfacing with Area Manufacturing Director(s) on critical HR and labor relations initiatives throughout the region. This strategic HR position supports the business unit though partnering and driving the implementation of HR processes and initiatives across the region promoting a results oriented and performance driven culture. This position will support the region with regards to contemporary HR processes and practices, and labor relations strategy.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure the execution of HR programs/processes in the area of Performance and Talent Management, Compensation, Staffing and Employment Policies.
Support business unit by providing strategic HR counsel and driving the regions HR policies.
Evaluate current HR practices and make recommendations for best in class solutions for contemporary HR issues.
Provide labor relations counsel throughout the region with the responsibility for handling grievances at the final stage of the grievance procedure including arbitration.
Participate with HR staff and negotiate single plant and/or multi-site labor contracts assuring the competitiveness of the business.
Use broad-based business experiences to lead, support and drive strategic change initiatives.
Be a positive and proactive company and employee advocate.
Partner with regional health and safety managers to improve safety performance and reduce Workers Compensation costs.
Manage and administer HR projects/initiatives as required.

SCOPE AND IMPACT:

This position is responsible for all aspects of HR processes and initiatives throughout the plants in the NA region promoting a results oriented and performance driven culture. The person must function equally well in both an office and plant environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This position requires an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources leadership roles in a manufacturing organization.
An advanced degree and PHR certification is preferred. Multi-site HR management experience is also preferred.

Ability to handle conflict, articulate own and others goals and stay focused on a positive outcome.
Possess strong business savvy as well as Human Resources acumen, assuring credibility with other leadership team members.
Demonstrated experience building relationships with local/International union officials by working in a credible and honest manner.
Must have demonstrated experience in key labor relations activities including labor contract interpretation, grievance handling, arbitrations, and labor contract negotiations experience.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position will require travel (25-40%) within the North America region. This position may require occasional international travel. This position will be based in Perrysburg, Ohio.
