Job description:
The clinical nurse manager (CNM) is a registered professional nurse who has 24-hour accountability and reports to the Department Director. The CNM coordinates nursing services, ensures delivery of quality patient care, and serves as clinical resource to assigned patient care area. The CNM participates in leadership functions including: planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and implementing patient care activities. The CNM is accountable for the development of staff and self, for assisting in fiscal management, and for fostering a collaborative foundation for positive relationships with medical staff.

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years of Operating Room experience.
Demonstrates leadership and management ability.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION/LICENSURE:

Current Illinois RN license. Healthcare Provider CPR completed prior to employment.

SUPERVISES: RN's, LPN's, CNA's, HUC's and other unit personnel.
