Matrix Recruitment is working closely with a multinational medical devices company in the recruitment of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
Essential Criteria:
• Bachelor of Engineer in Mechanical or Manufacturing
• Min. 5 years’ engineering experience in a relevant industry
• Relevant experience in packaging engineering/packaging projects
• Project leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
• Experience working with a broad range of biomedical materials
• Innovative thinking
• Exposure to and experience of lean/six sigma principles
• Experience with DRM and FTQ
Key Accountabilities:
Working within the Engineering group this role will support engineering/packaging/NPI projects and work with cross functional teams. You will be exposed to several new projects coming on stream in a highly innovative environment.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the following:
• Project management of packaging engineering projects with responsibility for achieving P&L deliverables
• Lead teams to ensure that projects are completed within P&L deliverables
• Coordinate tasks and schedules
• Coordinate the introduction of new materials
• Evaluate support vendors and 3rd party providers
• Liaise with relevant technical specialists on the support of new moulded tooling for packaging
• Ensure that packaging regulations are adhered to
• Provide input to any processes or process changes relating to packaging (e.g. sterilization methods)
