Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Wastewater Operations Supervisor Jobs - Rio Rancho, NMThe Challenge! To work as the NM Certified
Wastewater Operations Supervisor with the team in Rio Rancho, NM. The wastewater system consists of six treatment facilities: a 6 mgd nitrate removal plant, two 1.2 mgd activated sludge plants, and two 0.5 mgd membrane bioreactor facilities (with a build-out capacity of 10 mgd). Construction of two membrane plants was completed and commissioned in 2006. Both plants use Zenon filtration technology and were built to accommodate area growth, serving two subdivisions. We successfully commissioned and brought online 10 new arsenic treatment potable water facilities, the two new wastewater plants, and numerous upgrades to facilities while maintaining continuous service.

Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as a scheduling, planning, and reporting tool.
·
   
Diagnose operating problems and direct effective correction procedures
·
   
Prepare required reports and maintain complete recordkeeping procedures
·
   
Analyzes recording instrument readings and laboratory test results and adjusts various plant processes accordingly
·
   
Inspects plant to determine efficiency of operations, cleanliness, and maintenance activities
·
   
Supervises and trains employees
·
   
Determines remedial action in emergencies
·
   
Prepares work schedules
·
   
Prepares reports and maintains records
·
   
Performs employee evaluations
·
   
Assists in conducting ongoing safety program
·
   
Assures we are in compliance
·
   
Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work
·
   
Performs other duties as required  

Basic Qualifications

 
·    
High school diploma or GED
·    
new mexico Level IV certification in Wastewater or ability to obtain Level IV certification within one year.
·    
2+ years supervisory experience
·    
Valid drivers license with no major infractions in past 5 years

Preferred Qualifications
·    
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools employed in the general operation of engines, pumps valves, motors, and related equipment; general maintenance work; safe work practices; principles and methods of wastewater treatment processes, principles of supervision and training; principles of budget preparation and expenditure control.
·    
Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, GroupWise, data management systems and be able to operate plant PLC’s and SCADA systems
