Our client, a worldwide leader in restaurant equipment, is seeking a Microwave Oven Design Engineer.  This is a long term contract position with the possibility of turning into a full-time W2’d employee should that be in the best interest of the candidate.  You will and must be the subject matter expert in terms of Microwave Technology and be able to relay that information to their internal team.  Communication skills are just as important as technical ability.  This is an urgent need, so the ability to relocate (if necessary) quickly is of the utmost importance.
 
Job Duties
• Design microwave oven cavities and waveguides utilizing off-the-shelf magnetrons
• Design electrical and mechanical sub-systems for oven operation and cooling
• Application of rotating machinery
• Ability to work with regulatory bodies to secure product certification
• Establish proper component parametric definition and build library collateral.
• Document best practices of design
• Continuous improvement of product designs
• Future technology, look at new enhancement in current products and/or new products coming onto the market.
