A leading manufacturer of automotive components is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer for one of their largest and most profitable plants near Augusta, GA. The Process Engineer will lead process improvement, maintenance and manufacturing engineering projects to support continued growth and line changes. A 4-year engineering degree from an accredited university is required, along with Intern, Co-op (3 semesters) or a few years experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering degrees are preferred. Chemical Engineers will need mechanical, manufacturing or similar engineering experience. This is not a chemical plant, so chemical process experience will not fit. This is a hands-on position and a significant portion of time will be spent on the shop floor troubleshooting problems, running process improvement and new product trials. There is a preference for some exposure to statistics, SPC and cost reduction processes. This company offers excellent benefits, including paid relocation.
