Residential Counselor
Greenfield, New Hampshire

In this highly sensitive role, you will assist and support the coordination of residential services and provide professional treatment and quality care to residents, while closely supervising clients. You will be expected to maintain a safe, clean environment, while ensuring that therapeutic and recreational program activities are conducted appropriately, and that behavior-management techniques and positive reinforcement are applied consistently. You will also serve as an advocate of clients rights in accordance with Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center policies and procedures.

Requirements for this position include demonstrated strong group management skills, and an ability to effectively monitor client safety and de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Well look for proven knowledge and the skills needed to provide appropriate care, treatment, and services for behavioral health and emotional health needs of residents. Depending on the population served, youll also need working knowledge of sign language, alternative augmentative communication systems and familiarity with the needs of a deaf culture.

Finally, you must be able to safely operate a computer, washer and dryer, telephone, vacuum, dishwasher, audio monitoring system, alarms and mechanical apparatus including, but not limited to, Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs and walkers.
