Rehabilitation Counselors (Assistant Program Managers): Under general supervision, plan and conduct meetings with staff and clients to discuss issues of concern pertinent to the smooth operation of the program. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Implement proactive behavior strategies as outlined in the clients treatment plans including reinforcement schedules and least restrictive interventions. Provide effective supervision to clients at all times, with particular emphasis on safety and therapeutic boundaries. At the end of shift prepare a report to management, supervisors, and the team members. Additionally, prepare reports for defined reportable incidents to necessary agencies involved, if applicable. Function under the direct supervision of either Program Director or Program Manager. Must be able to pass all drug and alcohol screenings.

Requires: Bachelors degree or equivalent* in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling or related field plus 24 months experience in job offered or working with special needs and/or disabled children.

**Employer will accept three or four year bachelors degrees.

Education or experience must include 1) experience with working directly with adolescents with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders, 2) Implementing and assisting in individual therapeutic treatment programs, 3) Interacting as a part of a treatment team and evaluating progress, 4) Planning activities in line with treatment issues; and 5) Interpreting and reporting on behaviors. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable
