Position Description:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the general ledger and assists in monthly financial reporting. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller, and indirectly to the Controller.

General Ledger and Financial Reporting
Reconcile the various companies’ bank accounts
Prepare monthly general ledger account analyses
Prepare spreadsheets to track insurance and bond payments
Create Timberline or Crystal Reports to analyze accounts
Prepare and write journal entries and cash receipt entries
Account for all monthly owner requisitions and subcontractor payments into Timberline
Prepare companies' financial schedules
Assist in the annual audit with the firms independent auditors

Position Qualifications:
BS-Accounting or equivalent
Must have knowledge of GAAP accounting skills
Requires 2+ years general ledger accounting experience
Also requires strong Excel skills and Timberline software experience a plus
Must have good written and verbal communications skills
