Atlanta Braves: The Braves franchise has existed in one form or another since 1871, and the
team was a founding member of the National League in 1876. The franchise originated in Boston
and began calling itself the Boston Braves in 1912. The Braves moved to Milwaukee in 1953 and
finally to Atlanta, where they still call home, in 1966.
Houston Astros: The Astros joined the
National League as an expansion team in 1962. They were originally known as the Colt .45s,
but the team changed its name to the Astros when they moved to the famous Astrodome in 1965.
The Astros played at the Astrodome until the end of the 1999 season."
