This old violin is a work of art. It's made of Italian wood with the much sought after tiger striped one piece back and wide grain wood on the front! The pictures don't capture the antique look of this red violin from years of being handled and revarnished. You can google the Italian maker of this violin to see his instruments are valuable: Gebaut Von E Tenucci a.k.a. Eugene Tenucci. (1874-1960). His violins have spread around the globe. In 2010 the fiddle alone had a value of at least 5,000. So I am FIRM on my price and believe it is a bargain because nice violins, if taken care of, keep up with inflation over the years. It comes with bow & case. It stays in tune. The bow needs rehaired soon. It does have a small seam that needs to be glued by a professional some time, which costs about to thirty five dollars. I haven't played it much so it doesn't have much of the wrong kind of ware. It puts out a lot of sound. Let me know if you want to have a look at it. Type a message, text or call.
