This legendary 2-LP album should indeed have been published in1958, having been assigned the reference catalogue number DF 211-212 , but its publication never took place. It should have been the DF n° next to Michèle Auclair - Bach DF 209 / 210 ! It's Meyer's Ravel's DF 100/101 brother LP - a must for any serious LP collection.

The present record is a first time original issue as an LP and is in no way a reissue of a previously produced LP. It is the only Discophiles Français release to be manufactured in this era.
This edition has been produced according to the highest standards of quality and luxury both in term of sound ( full analog mastering using the original tapes with high end vintage audio equipments ) as in term of album manufacturing ( see photos ). The unrivalled luxury here brings the collector back to the golden age of classical records, in the fifties !

- The 100% full analog mastering has used the original mastertapes, recorded by André Charlin in 1956 & 1957. The cutting system used for that work includes : a specific Studer A-80 pre listen tape machine, with 2 heads, specially designed to provide the necessary analog tape delay required for the lathes computer to adjust the groove spacing and depth without converting to digital and back to analog to achieve the required delay. The whole process remains 100% pure analog. 2° to the Neumann SP 77 console and the Neumann SAL 74B cutting amps, an extremely rare vintage Fairchild 670 vacuum tube compressor from 1957, has been added as has an equally rare Pultec EMH7 vacuum tube equalizer ( there are only 3 other existing copys in the world ! ).
Heavy perfect pressing on 180 pure vinyl - pressed at Pallas Gmbh, Germany.

- Luxury French craftsmanship ! : the binding of the albums uses iron stamping of gold lettering on canvas fully hand made ; the text of the booklet has been offset printed on special satin paper, exactly as was done over 60 years ago. Even the fonts used for the texts and for the labels have been recreated to be absolutely identical to Les Discophiles Français releases of the 50s !

Finally the production has been authorized by Marcelle Meyers daughter Anne - Marie.
Each buyer will receive a justification of the draw, confirming the number of his copy. Being hand numbered, embossed with our logo, unable to be falsified.
