Description

I an offering an original (not a reproduction) cast bronze Single Dog Porthole. Based on the design, materials used, and the quality it was likely built in the US in the mid-1900s. This six pound unit measures 17” overall and has a 7” hinged door with a 6” heavy glass window. The mounting flange is 1¾", with a ¾" protrusion, and the original 2"x ⅜"dog, with the original thumb nut. The overall condition is good but the door seal is missing. Someone has taken the time to polish all the exposed surfaces, which makes this old nautical item display very well.
