Original Jean-Louis Forain charcoal and wash drawing on white paper from the early 20th Century. Signed in charcoal lower left. Titled Comedian dans sa Loge (Comedian in the Loge), the drawing portrays a comedian interacting with a patron in the box seat portion of a theater. The intensity of the charcoal and wash have stood up well over time. Professionally conserved and treated with deacidifier.
