This original and unique heavy solid bronze antique (NOT a repro) Ship’s Steering Helm is an auxiliary steering unit from a WW2 Transport Liberty Ship. It is satin polished and heavily lacquered. The manufacturer is Lidgerwood Mfg. of Beacon, NY and contains a moveable rudder position indicator on the top face. The wheel is 26” in. diameter and the unit stands 30” in. tall and can be floor mounted with 4 large bolts. The weight is about 300 pounds and can be pallet shipped.
