Hello, I am a beginning / intermediate drummer looking to set up a once a week jam session with musicians who are interested in playing covers of classic / hard rock songs. In addition to wanting to develop my own skills by playing with other musicians, I provide care for my mother who has dementia and is calmed greatly by listening to music in the evenings. I have a large "music room" in Northwest Boise where my drums are set up and there's plenty or room and power for amps and other equipment. I would like to eventually form a consistent group who would like to jam once a week and would be interested in building a set list for eventual (but very limited because of my situation) gigs. Looking for guitarists, bass players, vocalists or any other musician who is interested in collaborating on well-known classic rock, hard rock, R&B, or other popular songs. I could be available almost any weeknight from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm except Thursdays, when I have drum lessons. I should also put out there that I am pretty explicitly not interested in playing country music.
