Description

please know that many of the ads on Craigslist (Recycler too) for French Bulldog puppies are SCAMS. Just happened to me. Never believed I would fall for it. I guess seeing the desperation for a new puppy in my children's eyes made me overlook VERY obvious warning signs. If you hear any of these things when talking to someone claiming to sell a puppy walk away. QUICKLY!1. Seller will only communicate through text or email2. When you ask for additional pictures of puppy they just send the same ones that were posted. 3. Ask for a recent video of the puppy, they probably don't have it cause there is NO puppy.4. Deposit: if a seller asks you for a deposit in any form (cashiers check, gift card, etc.) BEFORE you have actually met the puppy and owner RUN don't walk.5. If deal seems to good to be true (i.e. the French is listed for $1000 with some story about how they are evangelical Christinas that have to regime their puppies because they are going to Africa on a Mission. Doesn't even have to be that big a lie. How about 'I'm in Colorado, not LA, right now cause I have to have knee surgery BUT I can send the dog to you tomorrow via courier for $225). Say no, just no.Ask A LOT of questions. Ask to speak to seller on the phone. Ask if they can go shoot a short video of puppy in the moment and email/text it over to you. NEVER give anyone a deposit for a puppy and owner you have not met. They will try to make you believe other buyers are chomping at the bit and you will lose the puppy if you don't put down deposit. Don't fall for it. I hope this is helpful. Yesterday was nightmare. My children were expecting a puppy to arrive at our house by Noon. When I emailed the seller, he said his son was driving the puppy down from San Jose. At 1pm seller emailed me to say that his son needed gas money and money for insurance. He wanted me to buy Visa gift cards and take a photo of serial code so he could redeem them. I knew then that I had been taken. Keep in mind I'd already purchased a $500 Amazon gift card as a deposit. I know, dumb, dumb, dumb. I hope this helps at least one person out there to avoid a scam. Thanks
