Hi, I’m Camila, a professional teacher of Portuguese who has been teaching for seventeen years. I have a degree in Portuguese Language and Literature and a degree in History with a teaching certificate. I worked at the International School of London and Box Hill School teaching primary and secondary students. I also worked for a number of companies based in London teaching business Portuguese.

Lessons

I can give you lessons for a range of different purposes:

• Everyday Portuguese - improve your knowledge of phrasal verbs, collocations and idioms. Get more fluent and confident in conversation.

Focusing on the spoken language, you will be able to improve your communication with native Portuguese speakers by learning through practice.

• Pronunciation - manage phone calls and Portuguese colleagues better with improved pronunciation

I cover all the essentials of pronunciation. We will look at key issues such as intonation, stress and vowel length. Pronunciation is not only about speaking but also about listening.

• GCSE and A Level

Many schools and employers have specific language requirements as part of their application process. While being a great advantage in life, many students need to learn Portuguese for GCSE and A-level exams and for university and employment. By teaching Portuguese, I assist in the development of individual talents and help to improve the communication skills of each student.
