Job Description
The Project Manager will be the catalyst for change to a world class organization that executes on time delivery and on budget and communicates consistently and clearly with customers. The Project Manager will develop milestone charts; communicate progress with customers; and hold engineering, purchasing & production accountable to promises kept. The Project Manager will be the leader that coordinates the efforts between all operations – sales – engineering – purchasing & production.
Work with engineering, sales, and purchasing on large project to develop detailed milestone charts using Microsoft Project.
Develop project cost estimate budgets on major projects based on input from sales, purchasing & engineering.
Conduct weekly team meetings to hold entire organization accountable to promises kept for budget & time. Weekly review actual vs. budgeted costs & percent completion of each specific milestone.
Weekly team meetings with customer’s team as required.
Serve as main communication conduit to customer on schedule.
Report to Manager, sales and or customer when variances occur on projects.
Required Skills
BS or BA in industrial engineering preferred. MBA a plus.
3-5 years experience in an operations role in a traditional manufacturing plant required.
Prior experience in an MRP demand based ERP system for manufacturing.
Fundamental knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project programs.
Computer experience working on Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Outlook programs
