The Department of Wellness is now seeking an experienced professional to lead its Employee Wellness Program in the position of Assistant Director of Employee Wellness at Oklahoma State University. The Employee Wellness Program Assistant Director develops and implements programs and services for OSU Faculty and Staff in line with the designation of America’s Healthiest Campus. This includes working closely with staff to develop, schedule, market and assess programs and services. This includes working closely with staff to develop, schedule and market programs and services. Monitor on-going programs and work with staff to revise as needed. Interview, hire, train, and supervise, all employees within the program. Report to Chief Wellness Officer of Dept. of Wellness on all aspects of programs/services related to goals, mission and growth of the program. Responsible for budgeting and adherence to university policies and procedures within the programs. Manage and approve all purchasing for employee wellness programs. Oversee the purchase and maintenance of all equipment for employee wellness programs and services and monitor monthly budget reports. Develop and administer a data-driven employee wellness program. Administer surveys for employees to assess wellness needs for the employee wellness program and assess progress toward strategic goals. Oversee the development of reports to summarize program outcomes and progress toward strategic goals. Meet with Staff Advisory Council, Faculty Council and individual departments to promote and recruit for Department of Wellness programs and services. Serve as a liaison to various campus departments to increase participation in employee wellness programs. Serve as liaison on campus committees and councils dedicated to campus wellness efforts, including OSU-Stillwater Wellness Council. Coordinate Innovator and Certified Healthy Department programs to include branch and A&M campuses and County Extension Offices by collaboration with Human Resources. Serve as liaison to OSU's branch and A&M Campuses and the County Extension Offices. Serve as liaison with BlueCross BlueShield and Human Resources to maximize employee wellness program offerings, requesting Wellness Dollars to support many employee programs. Serve as "building manager" for the Seretean Wellness Center, to include: Communicating with building occupants on matters that affect them; and working with building operations on maintenance, upkeep, heating/cooling, etc. May be required to work with strength training equipment. Responsibility may require working evenings or weekends in order to accomplish departmental goals. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Exercise Science or related field. Two years’ experience in coordinating wellness programs. Experience in developing, teaching and presenting wellness related classes and workshops. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or nationally recognized Employee Wellness Certification (within one year of hire). Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent public speaker, well versed in the application of behavior change theories. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Health Promotion, Exercise Science or related field. Three to five years’ experience in coordinating wellness programs. Experience in developing, teaching and presenting wellness related classes and workshops.
