This is a part-time position.

This is a great opportunity to showcase your training skills and prepare potential buyers on what to expect in the homebuying process. In this position , you will deliver our 2-hour Pre-Purchase Counseling Classes one weekday evening per week and host our 8-hour Homebuyer Education Classes on each Saturday of the month. Classes are held in Gwinnett and Rockdale Counties and may expand to other metro-Atlanta counties as requested. Hands-on training is provided.



Responsibilities:

As a Facilitator for our Homebuyer Education program, you will schedule, organize, and conduct Pre-Purchase Counseling and Homebuyer Education workshops. Confirm speakers for workshops when appropriate. Ensure all groups education workshop files are maintained and proper close out procedures are completed. Assist with community awareness of educational and one-on-one housing counseling programs and services. Attend training/meetings to acquire all required certifications in a timely manner. Ensure all data is entered into data collection system. Maintain client and program files. Collect data and report on client information, progress and outcomes.

Required skills and experience:

Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Experience delivering course presentations, hosting webinars, training and development, or public speaking.

Strong writing and communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook) and Adobe pdf files.

Experience with webinar platforms (Adobe Connect, WebEx or GoToMeeting) and exposure to online training/courses.

Able to provide excellent customer service to a diverse population.

Able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and use technology to deliver services.

Must be able to work on Saturdays.

Training is provided.

Preferred Skills:

2 years Housing Counseling experience in the areas of pre/post purchase counseling, foreclosure prevention and homebuyer education. Or, 3 years of experience in financial/budget counseling, the real estate or mortgage services industries.

NeighborWorks, State Housing Finance Agency, or HUD housing counseling training.

Knowledge of foreclosure prevention programs and loan modification options.
