IT Manager / System Administrator - MI

Position Summary:
The IT Manager/System Administrator will be responsible for administering and ensuring the overall stability, integrity, and efficient operations of the companys information infrastructure system, it includes support of servers, desktops, IT department, operating systems, printers, security systems, building access control and hand held devices for corporate and end users that support the Business / Manufacturing process. The candidate must be extremely well organized, self-starter, independent and customer service focused.

Major Responsibilities:
1) Responsible for maintaining Microsoft servers, IBM AS400, desktop units, data backups, phone system and critical applications; troubleshooting software, desktop & network problems; ensuring network, desktop, and phone system functionality.

2) Assuring the disaster recovery of information systems; maintaining business data links between software applications; maintaining user account information; and performing security items as assigned.

3) Planning/scheduling maintenance and resources to maintain networked operation; upgrading software & hardware; prepares activity reports

4) Maintaining processes and protecting the security of the facilities as prescribed in companys policies and procedures.​

5) Monitoring the efficiency of software/​hardware usage; adding and maintaining users on the network; monitoring and reporting licenses on applications, servers, desktops; deploy and manage security intrusion protection.

6) Ensuring all network and desktop patches are applied and functioning without conflict.

7) Maintain relationship in a positive and effective manner with top and IT management including outside consultants, vendors and service providers

8) Purchasing of IT related equipment and services.

Position Qualifications (Required):
Bachelors is MUST
EDI experience required
3+ years or relevant experience in IT supporting manufacturing operation
Manufacturing ERP system support
Strong knowledge of troubleshooting software/hardware on servers, networking and handheld equipment and Cisco hardware
Well versed with Windows Server environment, Database SQL, MS Office Suite of products, Active Directory, DHCP, WINS, DNS
Strong background with user and group policy settings specific to servers, iSeries AS/400 hardware and operating system

Position Qualifications (Preferred):
Experience with installing/supporting CAD software will be a PLUS
Background of project management tools and methodologies, Epicor CMS - ERP system specifically for automotive manufacturers would be a nice to have.
