Our client, a consulting firm in Philadelphia, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for a long-term contract. The HR Business Partner will provide guidance and support regarding various HR matters and processes. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of experience in a corporate environment. This is a position does have the potential to become permanent.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Provide guidance and advice related to key issues, legal matters, and employee relation concerns
Assist in creating and implementing HR policies and procedures
Update and maintain reports pertaining to employee relations
Conduct exit interviews
Assist with various processes including performance management, talent assessment, and salary administration
Assist in obtaining Visas and handle other immigration related issues
Assist with development of job descriptions and make salary recommendations
Compile reports in HRIS system
Analyze problems and develop interaction tools for managers to use during counseling and development sessions, staff meetings, etc.
Participate on project teams as needed
Develop a strong understanding of all employment policies and procedures and ensure compliance
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

5-7 years of related HR experience in a corporate environment
Bachelor’s degree required
PHR/SPHR/CEBS strongly preferred
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to employment
Highly organized, detail-oriented, adept at multitasking
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent HRIS general database and computer skills
