Quality Assurance Engineer - Steel, Process Improvement, QC - Gary, IN - JOB 17-00316

Salary Range: $60K - $75K Permanent Position with Benefits.

A large steel manufacturing company in the united states is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to review customer specifications, provide metallurgical technical support and identify process changes for quality improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy / Metallurgical Engineering or Materiel Science
Must have experience steel or other heavy industrial manufacturing.
Review customer specifications, provide metallurgical technical support, identify process changes for quality improvements, and analysis of process and product data.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and API Q1 quality system requirements is a plus
Perform quality audits and manage the quality system.
Provide technical and quality systems support including rejection analysis and process improvement recommendations
Strong problem-solving skills.
Will utilize technical knowledge in physical and metallurgical characteristics of processes, products, and quality control.
Develop and review quality reports, conduct quality meetings, and perform audits on a daily basis.

Relocation will be offered for all, typically temp living and movement of goods

Candidates may be required to submit to a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
