Job Title:                       Packaging Engineer
Location:                       Pearland, Houston. Texas.
Employee Type:           Full Time.
Business Segment:    Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals.
Base Pay:                     $80,000-$100,000 annual salary

What you will do:
An engineer who has a capability of packaging engineering work at Pearland shop.
Packaging engineering includes following activities as a minimum but not limited to;

To generate fabrication drawing for piping/instrument packaging

To generate materials list and requisition specifications for material procurement use.

(2D drawings shall be made by himself to initiate Solidworks 3D drawings by others who should also be managed by himself.)

To manage manufacturing and engineering schedule in addition to the drawing related activities through the coordination among MCO Japan (Hiroshima)’s concerning engineers, buyers, design/packaging contractors, production staffs and QA members.

(Activities to achieve smooth proceeding of packaging work shall be under his responsibility; i.e., when some technical problems such as interference between piping and JB’s are revealed in an actual packaging work at Pearland shop.)

To develop standards of operation procedures (SOP) for improvement of operations. (He shall resolve such problems as described in above 3) by finding best possible solutions and always consider the efficiency of operations and have pro-active approach for improvement of operations through the work.)

To have aggressiveness to develop/realize a credible engineering team inside MCO-I through activities and knowledge/skills/experiences listed in the next page.

To generate work drawings relating to piping/instrumentation on a skid (around compressor, turbine and/or motor)

To generate project drawings such as WPS& PQR for piping, Instrument material list

To generate manufacturing drawings such for local gauge boards

To generate requisition specs. for such as Instruments related items (transmitters, control valves, relief valves, junction boxes and bulk materials), Piping related items (general valves, sight glasses and bulk materials), Equipment related items (filters)

To evaluate vendor's quotations from viewpoints of technical, quality, cost and delivery

To review vendors’ contract drawings (coordinate meetings with vendors when necessary.)

To solve technical problems on manufacturing/packaging

To report engineering progresses to project managers

What you need to know

Engineering Degree (Mechanical Engineering)

Experiences of instrument/piping packaging designing & engineering

Knowledge of API/ASME, ASME welding code and NEC code (Hazardous area application)

Experiences of handling documents/drawings with vendors; i.e., reviewing and commenting

PC literate (Windows, word, excel and power point)

AUTOCAD 2D drawing

Not mandatory but preferable talents: Solidworks 3D cad modeling ( preferable)

Experiences of petrochemical and oil& gas project (preferable)
