WORK LOCATION: Milpitas. Position requires travel 20% of the time to destinations in the US and Asia.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Utilize engineering knowledge to develop, present , and respond to proposals for specific requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry specific solutions. Propose, define, and support specifications for new products or enhancements to existing wafer inspection products. Research and understand the patterned defect inspector product operational principle and market. Explain the companys wafer defect and surface quality inspection system products operational principles to system design engineers and customers. Initiate early customer engagement through offering demonstrations and virtual tool capability. Work with product and test engineering groups to support product throughout its life cycle. Work closely with sales, corporate marketing, account teams, and customer groups to promote products, maximize sales, and maximize customer satisfaction. Provide competitive analysis. Prepare product business plan including forecast, specification, data analysis, pricing, market environment, IC technology, customer management and project coordination. Position requires travel 20% of the time to destinations in the US and Asia.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field and 1 year of experience in job offered or a semiconductor engineering related occupation.

Education or experience must include:

1. Integrated Circuit (IC) processing;
2. 1 year of experience using Darkfield inspection tools, including customer demonstrations;
3. On-site applications support for defect inspection tools at customer facilities;
4. Semiconductor inspection and metrology experience, including SEM and EDX;
5. Cleanroom experience/certification;
6. Product development for semiconductor inspection equipment, including characterizing the value of new features;
7. Writing Best Known Methods, and sharing ideas for product improvement with internal stakeholders;
8. Direct interaction with customers, including presenting results and collaborating to troubleshoot issues.

Position requires travel 20% of the time to destinations in the US and Asia.
