OVERVIEW: 
Fast growing semiconductor company, located in Mountain View, is looking to add to its Finance organization.  The Payroll Manager is a hands-on role for a proven payroll professional. You will be a key liaison between Finance, HR and outside service providers for ensuring collaborative and successful cross-team initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The payroll Manager will manage the processing of the semi-monthly payroll and accounting for compensation. The Payroll Manager must have strong experience with systems, multi-state and international payrolls.

- Manage the day-to-day processing of the entire Payroll department; ensuring semi-monthly payrolls are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Manage and monitor the payroll function (including tax and systems administration) to ensure appropriate control procedures have been established and are being followed.
- Maintain complete understanding of all applicable federal/state wage and hour laws related to payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes.
- Audit W-4s, payroll balance sheets, quarterly filings, YTD earnings, etc.
- Establish corrective action processes to identify and address deficiencies and report regularly the status and progress of improvement initiatives.
- Establish procedures and ensure that all financial postings, reconciliations and adjustments are accurately completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are monitored and are being met.
- Regularly monitor the payroll system processes, ensuring that system dependencies and interactions are operating as designed.
- Ensure that all record-keeping meets organization and legal requirements.


Desired Skills & Experience
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
Multi-state payroll processing experience.
BA or BS degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is preferred.
5+ years of relevant payroll and payroll tax experience.
In-house payroll and time keeping system knowledge
Solid understanding of tax implications on payroll as well as garnishments, payroll rules and regulations and legal compliance practices.
Adaptability to rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high growth organization
Tax EIN Tax Experience  and the special tax rules, local, federal tax rules that apply to EIN companies
Experience in an enterprise environment for up to 20 thousand employees
Ceridian Experience
Multi state tax is a must (Ohio and Pennsylvania a Huge +) 
Strong problem-solving skill-set; able to methodically break down a complex problem and reconstruct an efficient solutions
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exposure to Payroll Accounting Systems (Easi, EquityEdge, ADP)  Prior Oracle experience is a plus.

MUST either be a US citizen or a Permanent Resident (valid green card)
 
Term: Direct Hire
Salary Range: 60-65K
