OSRAM SYLVANIA, one of the world`s largest lighting manufacturers, is looking for a Group Marketing Manager to lead its rapidly growing Light Management Systems (LMS) marketing team headquartered in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. A start-up operation within an industry leader, our LMS portfolio is based on the Encelium Energy Management System (EMS), the world`s premier addressable energy management system.

The LMS team is looking for an experienced, energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated marketing professional who will be responsible for the overall direction and control of all aspects of the LMS marketing organization serving the AMERICAS region (ie, the Western Hemisphere). The LMS Group Marketing Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. Product planning includes directing the development of capabilities to be delivered by the Encelium EMS system, comprised of its software and hardware components, throughout the systems and components` life cycles, gathering and prioritizing system requirements, defining the vision for future system capabilities and working with a cross-functional product development team to deliver winning solutions. Product marketing is comprised of all outbound marketing activities and the collection of market feedback that will be used to help define future system capabilities. The LMS Group Marketing Manager will collaborate and coordinate with regional counterparts located throughout the world regarding the development of future Encelium EMS capabilities to serve our global customer base.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define the portfolio strategy and system roadmap as part of our long-range business planning process
Manage the life cycle of system capabilities and services within your portfolio
Determine market requirements for current and future system capabilities by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
Deliver Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs) and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with detailed business plans, prioritized features and corresponding justification, go-to-market strategy and target customers
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Develop, propose and manage an annual operating budget for your portfolio team
Develop and deliver monthly revenue and manufacturing forecasts
Be an expert with respect to the competition
Act as a leader within the company
Qualifications

Bachelor`s degree (MBA strongly preferred)
Minimum of 10 years experience as a Product Manager in high technology, software-based system
Demonstrated success defining and launching successful systems and products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be an independent thinker and self-starter capable of effective multi-tasking in a high operating tempo environment
Excellent people and management skills to interact with the LMS team, senior management, sales channels, cross-functional teams and customers within the AMERICAS region
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Strong understanding of networked control systems; general understanding of lighting systems
Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, primarily within the AMERICAS region
