What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s in Nursing, Microbiology, or related field.
2 years acute care hospital (e.g. nursing or microbiology) or infectious disease epidemiology.
2 years previous management experience
Required license/certification: Appropriate licensure for nursing within the state of Texas or Compact State, appropriate certification for Medical Technologist with (preferred) Certification in Infection Control by national CBIC board upon meeting eligibility requirements.
Required skills (if applicable):
Knowledge and experience in areas of patient care practices, microbiology, asepsis, disinfection/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, computer and data management, program administration, and epidemiology is preferred. Completion of basic infection prevention training course within one year of entering profession
